Commonwealth Buyback -- Expression of Interest

On 30 September 2024, the Federal Government issued two requests for Expressions of Interest (EOI) from eligible water rights holders in the remaining Southern Connected Basin Catchments and from owners of large water portfolios (~20 GL or more). As part of the EOI for the Southern Connected Basin Catchments, a 'sale and leaseback' option is available. These EOIs will help shape the Federal Government's water purchasing strategy for 2025.
